Docker-based Nimbra Edge #
Deprecated. The Docker-based Nimbra Edge Core (
connectit install core) is deprecated as of R4.2.0 and will be removed in a later release. It remains supported in R4.2 so that existing installations can be migrated. These pages are kept for existing installations; new installations should follow Get started. To move an existing installation, see Migrate from Docker-based Nimbra Edge.
Docker-based Nimbra Edge runs the Nimbra Edge control plane, called core, as Docker Compose services on a single Linux host. The installation is managed with the connectit CLI, which also installs video appliances and Edge Connect appliances on Linux hosts.
| Deprecated since | R4.2.0 |
| Supported in | R4.2.x, for existing installations |
| Removal | A later release, announced in the release notes |
| Replacement | Nimbra Edge on Edge OS or Kubernetes, see Get started |
Only the Docker-based core is deprecated. Video appliances and Edge Connect appliances installed on Linux hosts with the connectit CLI remain supported and work with every Nimbra Edge control plane.
