Get started #
An easy way to get started with Nimbra Edge is to deploy it in AWS or Oracle Cloud. This tutorial takes you through installing Nimbra Edge, adding video capacity, and watching your first test stream.
First, install Nimbra Edge, which you manage through its Network Manager web interface. Then connect a Core video appliance to handle video traffic in your cloud region and an Edge video appliance at your site to send a test stream through it.
You will need:
- A cloud account, if you are deploying to a cloud provider
- A Nimbra Edge license key
- A domain name you can configure DNS for
- An machine to act as Edge video appliance for example Nimbra 520. Alternatively, a linux machine with for example Ubuntu or Debian
Cloud resources are billed separately from your Nimbra Edge license
