Deploy on AWS #
An easy way to get started with Nimbra Edge on AWS is to use the supplied CloudFormation templates. You will install Nimbra Edge, then connect a Core appliance in the same cloud.
Before you start #
You need an AWS account with permission to create CloudFormation stacks, EC2 instances, and networking resources, a Nimbra Edge license key, and a domain name you can configure in DNS. AWS charges for the cloud resources separately from your Nimbra Edge license.
Follow these steps:
- Prepare your cloud network
- Deploy Nimbra Edge
- Install Nimbra Edge
- Deploy a Core appliance
- Connect a Core appliance
- Connect an Edge appliance
- Send your first stream
Start: Prepare your cloud network
Cleanup #
If you no longer need the installation, delete its CloudFormation stacks. This removes their managed resources and data, so save any required backups first. Remove your DNS record, and delete the VPC and subnet if you created them for this tutorial and no longer use them.
